Visiting with friends from Newcastle and we all agree it is amazing food and service! Scott really looked after us so a big thank you to him.

It's not always easy to travel with kids and in-laws, especially when you decide to take everyone back to Yorkshire where you studied in the 90s. Well, here we are. We took the train after a week of exploring London, found our accommodations, walked through all the shops that had just closed, and came across Pavement Vaults. There's a kids' menu and it doesn't have just the ol' regular stuff on it. It has ribs. But also pizza and Mac and cheese for those who like the same old (as at least one of our kids tends to). But it also has tasty, flavorful food for the adults. As in American inspired BBQ. We didn't expect to encounter BBQ. But it had just the right spice and we needed it to warm up. The wine menu was just right and my husband enjoyed a beer. The service was top notch. The music was good too. And, nice clean bathrooms. That's important when you're spending weeks traveling. Loved the pulled pork sandwich. The fries are skinny and spicy, but not so much that my daughter didn't eat a bunch. Two in our party enjoyed the ribs. 'Falls off the bone.'

It's good to see this location finally turned into a decent venue. The food is well cooked and they serve good portions in a pleasant environment. However, it's one of those places where they forget your existence once they have delivered and / or cleared your food, so paying the bill can occupy as much time as the meal itself. The service might be teething problems though - it certainly holds promise.
